I have never tried hare scrambles or any off road events it looks like a good time. I love trail riding in the woods and wouldn't mind ripping it up on the trails.
Does anyone know who hosts events in Illinois area?

Out west in Morrison, they have a big series that races pretty much every weekend. Same group that does the MOOSE RUN.

look on the ama-cycle.org site scroll all the way down to the bottom right where is says search and pick your stuff and enter a state ....
