my web counter has a red x or doesn't load properly

my counter has been showing up for weeks but now it's just a box with a red x in the middle whats wrong.

what you should do is delete the counter
republish web site
then add new counter and type in roughly what the number of hits it was before it went down.

not sure why it went down but recreating it will fix it
